BOOKING, CANCELLATION & PAYMENT POLICY

This policy covers each confirmed booking and is a contractual agreement between myself and the client, incorporating the agreed fee, date, times, location, services and these booking terms.

A booking is considered confirmed once the fee, date and terms have been agreed upon and the option confirmed in writing.

Cancellation of confirmed bookings:

Once a booking has been confirmed, the date and time are reserved exclusively for the client and prevents me from accepting other work. The following cancellation charges therefore apply: Within 48hours of the engagement: 50% of the agreed fee. Within 24hours of the engagement: 100% of the agreed fee

This cancellation structure is generously based upon the cancellation fee framework recommended by the Advertising Producers Association (APA) for freelance production engagements.

Changes to confirmed bookings:

Any material change to a confirmed booking, including the date, call time, location, duration, number of people or scope of services, must be agreed upon in advance.

A material change made within 48 hours, may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and/or a new booking, and the applicable cancellation fee may become payable.

Where a change results in additional working time, travel, waiting time, preparation or other costs, these may be charged in addition to the original agreed fee where agreed or reasonably incurred.

Breach of contract:

These terms form part of the contract for services between myself and the client. Failure to comply with the agreed booking, cancellation or payment terms may constitute a breach of contract. I reserve the right to seek payment of sums contractually due and, where applicable, recover losses or other remedies available to me under the contract and applicable law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Payment terms:

Invoices are payable by the payment date stated on the invoice, the standard being 30 days, unless agreed upon otherwise in writing  and in advance of confirmation.

If an invoice becomes overdue, I reserve the right to suspend or decline further bookings until the outstanding balance has been paid.

For business-to-business transactions, overdue invoices will attract statutory interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, together with any applicable statutory compensation and reasonable recovery costs.

Acceptance of terms:

By confirming a booking, the client confirms that they have had the opportunity to read and accept these booking, cancellation and payment terms.

These terms apply to all confirmed bookings unless alternative terms have been expressly agreed in writing before the booking is confirmed.
